Emily Kringle, PhD, OTR/L, is a Visiting Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC). She holds a PhD in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Pittsburgh, and completed postdoctoral training in the NIDILRR-funded Advanced Rehabilitation Research Training Program on Translational and Engaged Scholarship in the UIC Department of Occupational Therapy, and the T32 Precision Lifestyle Medicine and Translational Research (PREMIER) training program in the UIC Department of Medicine. Dr. Kringle has clinical experience as an occupational therapist serving in inpatient rehabilitation, rural skilled nursing and outpatient clinics, and acute mental health settings. Her NIH-funded research program focuses on behavioral interventions to reduce post-stroke sedentary behavior, remotely delivered telehealth interventions, and social influences on health behaviors among adults with stroke-related disability.
