Jon Sanford, M. Arch. is Co-Director and lead PI for the RERC. He oversees the development activities and serves as a PI on Projects D1.2 (ALIGN), D2 (SmartBathroom), and T2 (Post-Secondary Training). He is the Director of CATEA and was previously a Co-Director of the Work RERC. Mr. Sanford is a tenured Associate Professor of Industrial Design and a Research Architect at the Atlanta VA Rehabilitation Research and Development Center. His research focuses on home and community-based technologies for aging in place, and he is widely recognized for his expertise in universal design (UD).
